Churchill Pointe InnHubbard Lake · Est. 1926

Hubbard Lake · Northern Michigan · Since 1926

A waterfront inn for slow weekends and long meals.

Nine lake-view rooms above a renowned restaurant. The kind of place you keep returning to — for anniversaries, for first fish, for quiet.

Nine rooms

Each one a little different. Most face the lake.

Private bath, complimentary breakfast box, and the kind of quiet that makes you sleep in.

Since 1926

A hundred Augusts on Hubbard Lake.

Churchill Pointe Inn opened in 1926 as a summer destination for families making the long drive north — back when "the drive north" meant a Model T and two days. The lake hasn't changed. Most of the building hasn't either.

We've kept the wide porches, the white linens in the dining room, and the rocking chairs that look out across the water. We added a few things too — air conditioning, a coffee maker in every room, and a kitchen that takes its fish more seriously than most.

We're the only full-service resort on the lake. Nine rooms. Couples mostly. A few anniversaries, a few first-time fishermen. We hope you stay long enough to forget what day it is.

"After 50 years of dining at many fine restaurants, there is no place I would rather dine."

The Restaurant

Lake fish, grilled steaks, and a wine list worth lingering on.

The dining room looks out across Hubbard Lake from every table. White linens, candlelight, and a chef who treats the fish on the menu like he caught it himself — which, often, is true.

Dinner only

Open for the season — reservations recommended.

Full bar

Fine wines, handcrafted cocktails, local craft beer.

Weddings & Events

Small weddings, milestone dinners, and quiet retreats.

The dining room and lakeside deck host roughly twenty weddings a year. Most are small — fewer than fifty guests — and unfold over a weekend with the inn booked end to end.

We also host milestone birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions, and the occasional corporate retreat that needed somewhere honest to think.

Plan your stay

Five hours from Detroit. Four hours from Chicago.

Hubbard Lake sits inland from Lake Huron in northern Michigan — far enough to be quiet, close enough to find. The drive in winds along farmland and pine forest.
